DIRECT HIRE: A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Instrument Tech to join to a dynamic team for all types of land surveying work on projects throughout the greater upstate of South Carolina.  The successful candidate must be a responsible, motivated, detail-oriented individual with strong leadership skills and work ethic.  

Salary Range: $25hr - $30hr +OT
Base hours/schedule: 7am - 4pm, some weekends

Qualifications:

  • Operates and maintains surveying instruments and equipment, including total stations, GPS units, and data collectors

  • Assists survey crews with measuring distances, angles, and elevations to support boundary, construction, and topographic surveys

  • Sets up, calibrates, and verifies accuracy of instruments before and during use

  • Records field data and ensures accuracy and completeness for project documentation

  • Interprets survey plans and provides support in layout and staking for construction projects

  • Follows safety procedures and maintains equipment in proper working condition

  • Collaborates with surveyors, engineers, and field staff to complete projects efficiently
