Senior Electric Motor Mechanic – Direct Hire

📍 Winnsboro, SC & Rock Hill, SC

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electric Motor Mechanic for a direct hire opportunity in Winnsboro, SC and Rock Hill, SC. This role involves the inspection, diagnosis, repair, rebuilding, and testing of industrial electric motors, generators, and related equipment. The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of AC/DC motors, rewinding, machining, and troubleshooting, along with the ability to mentor junior technicians and ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and rebuild electric motors, generators, and components

• Perform motor rewinding, machining, balancing, and alignment tasks
• Operate lathes, milling machines, and balancing equipment for machining and alignment tasks.

• Test equipment using electrical instruments and ensure repairs meet industry standards

• Maintain accurate repair records and documentation

• Mentor and train junior technicians

• Enforce safety policies and promote quality assurance

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on industrial electric motor repair experience

• Skilled in rewinding, machining, balancing, and vibration analysis

• Strong knowledge of electrical/mechanical schematics and troubleshooting

• Leadership and communication skills; ability to mentor others

• OSHA/electrical safety certifications a plus

Schedule & Pay

• Full-time | 4×10 schedule (Mon–Thu)

• Minimum 40 hours per week, overtime pay after 10 hours/day

• Pay: Starting at $30/hour
