Seeking an Estimator with commercial electrical construction experience for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Tampa, FL.

Salary is between $80,000 - $110,000 per year (based on experience)

Responsibilities:

  • Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to develop accurate estimates for multi-family and commercial electrical projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.
  • Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs to formulate competitive bids.
  • Prepare detailed bid proposals, including take-offs, cost breakdowns, and justification for estimated costs.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project scope and requirements.
  • Monitor and update estimates as project scope evolves or changes.
  • Maintain organized records of estimates, including bid proposals and communication with clients.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and pricing to ensure competitive edge.
  • Assist in the development of project schedules and budgets.

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an estimator in electrical construction, with specific experience in multi-family and commercial projects.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, materials, and construction methods.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., AccuBid, Bluebeam, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
