Seeking a Senior HVAC Service Technician with commercial service experience for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Charlotte, NC.

Pay: $40 - $55 hourly (based on experience)

The Senior HVAC Service Technician will lead field operations, manage a team of commercial HVAC technicians, and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality service and installations. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, strong leadership capabilities, and a commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example with a customer-focused attitude and professional appearance standards.
  • Align team performance with company goals and support company initiatives.
  • Promote and enforce jobsite safety, including OSHA compliance, PPE use, and safety training.
  • Coordinate with Service Coordinators to meet customer needs and ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Oversee daily service calls, ensuring timely completion and accurate documentation for billing.
  • Manage parts orders and minimize service delays.
  • Mentor technicians on efficiency, service quality, and best practices.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to support urgent service needs.
  • Support sales efforts through customer relationship building, upselling opportunities, and job site input for estimates.
  • Ensure team proficiency with OEM/vendor apps, HVAC tools, and industry software; lead training and implementation.
  • Maintain HVAC product knowledge resources to support team performance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 10–15 years of commercial or industrial HVAC service experience
  • Prior experience leading or mentoring field technicians
  • EPA Universal Certification (required)
  • Strong HVAC diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency with HVAC software and OEM/vendor applications
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and commitment to safety
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Valid driver’s license with clean record
  • Ability to pass drug screen and background check
