💰 Salary Range: $85,000–$95,000 annually

Role Overview
Superior Skilled Trades is partnered with a manufacturing company seeking a HAAS CNC Machinist with hands-on experience operating HAAS equipment. This direct-hire opportunity is ideal for machinists with 3–5 years of CNC experience who are looking to advance their skills, take on increased responsibility, and grow within a stable, precision-focused environment.
In this role, you will set up, operate, and inspect CNC-machined parts while supporting production efficiency and quality initiatives.


Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate HAAS CNC machines, including mills and/or lathes
  • Load programs, perform tool offsets, and make basic program edits as needed
  • Produce precision components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications
  • Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools
  • Troubleshoot routine machining and tooling issues
  • Complete production and quality documentation accurately
  • Follow safety, quality, and shop procedures
  • Support continuous improvement efforts across machining and production processes

Required & Preferred Qualifications
Required:
  • 3–5 years of CNC machining experience in a production environment
  • Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Working knowledge of machining processes, materials, and tolerances
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred:
  • Experience with HAAS CNC machines
  • Familiarity with Mastercam or similar CAM software
  • Basic CNC programming or G-code editing experience
  • Experience producing tight-tolerance or precision components

Technical Skills & Technologies
  • CNC machine setup and operation (HAAS preferred)
  • Basic CNC programming and G-code comprehension
  • Precision measurement and inspection
  • Tooling selection and offset adjustments
  • Understanding of machining materials and best practices
