Seeking a Maintenance Chief with commercial laundry and manufacturing experience for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Portage, IN.

This position offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental and 401k!

Pay: $50 - $60 hourly (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all maintenance operations within the facility.
Lead, manage, and develop a team of maintenance technicians.
Develop, implement, and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance schedules and procedures.
Ensure equipment and machinery are operating efficiently and reliably.
Minimize equipment downtime and maximize operational productivity.
Coordinate maintenance activities to support production and facility needs.
Implement and maintain maintenance best practices and procedures.
Utilize strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to address equipment and operational issues.
Collaborate effectively with operations, production, and other internal departments.
Ensure maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and within required timeframes.

Required Qualifications

Commercial laundry experience is highly preferred.
5+ years of maintenance management experience, preferably within a commercial laundry, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures, equipment reliability, and industry best practices.
Previous experience leading and managing a maintenance team.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet demanding deadlines.
Willingness to work extended hours as needed to support operational requirements.
