DIRECT HIRE: A terrific opportunity for an experienced Mobile Crane Operator to join a dynamic ESOP company in the Ephrata, PA. area. Relocation and/or bonus offered for the correctly qualified candidate. Operates mobile hydraulic crane mounted on specially constructed chassis to lift and move materials and objects. This is a safety sensitive position involving the use of power tools and equipment.
Pay Range: $33 - $38hr (depending on experience)
Base Schedule/Hours: Monday - Friday, 6am - 3pm (+ OT and some Saturdays may be required)

Essential Job Functions:
- Drives truck/crane to and from work sites and places cribbing under outriggers to prevent capsizing when lifting heavy loads
- Reviews jobsite for any safety concerns, communicates with Install Foreman and Truck Driver
- Crane Operator has the authority to halt job if safety issues exist
- Shovels dirt and stone to prepare site for crane setup
- Operates the crane on site to move wall panels and other items per signals and instruction from Install Crew members
- Breaks down & packs up crane cribbing at end of job
- Inspects, cleans, maintains, and lubricates crane and equipment
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Lift, push, and pull up to 30 pounds frequently
- Standing, walking, bending, climbing, kneeling and twisting frequently
- Read tape measure accurately and consistently
- Use of fine motor skills to control machinery/tools frequently
- Concentrate, understand and communicate in noisy and active work environment
- Able to understand and follow written instructions
- Able to understand and follow hand signals as provided by all Install Crew members
- Provide good verbal communication to team members and customers on site
- Ability to work through and solve unexpected challenges and issues as they arise
- Ability to recognize safety issues and exercise judgement while operating crane on site
- Ability to work outdoors in all-weather elements throughout the year, although most of day is spent inside the crane while driving or operating
- Able to tolerate constant exposure to noise from operation of crane, heavy equipment, and power tools
- Ability to communicate effectively with all team members, supervisors, and customers and follow written/oral instructions
- Experienced in or demonstrates knowledge of reading tape measure precisely in a construction environment and understanding/following crane hand signals
- Must have current CDL B driver’s license with clean MVR record
- Must have NCCCO Crane Certification with training from crane manufacturers’ school or equivalent, including training in understanding and providing hand signals
- Adheres to Company equipment and safety requirements; owns and wears safety-toed shoes and uses Company provided PPE
- Experience in residential and commercial construction, with preference given to experience with concrete
- 2 or more years of driving commercial tractor or heavy vehicle
- One or more years of experience working with and operating cranes
- Current CDL A driver’s license (along with clean MVR record)
- High school diploma or its equivalent (relevant work experience may be substituted for educational requirement)
