Seeking a Quarry Manager with 5+ years of supervisory experience in mining operation for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Pembine, WI

Salary is between $95k - $105k per year, based on experience.

In this role, you will oversee the safe and efficient execution of mining operations and initial crushing stages, ensuring compliance with all relevant permits. You will develop and implement strategies to optimize reserves and manage a skilled team of 10 to maintain a consistent supply of rock for manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the extraction, processing, and distribution of materials from the mine site while ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with environmental and legal standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers, geologists, surveyors, and contractors to effectively plan and implement mining projects.
  • Develop short- and long-term strategies to optimize reserves and mining operations.
  • Gather data to create targeted training programs that improve operator performance using best mining practices.
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports, maintaining data and other required records.
  • Oversee the efficient operation of the crushing and screening plant, ensuring that operators are well-trained and uphold company standards.
  • Direct and manage staff and equipment to optimize operational performance, setting key performance indicators and achieving goals.
  • Foster professional growth among production personnel by providing skill development opportunities aligned with business needs.
  • Conduct employee performance evaluations and address disciplinary matters when necessary.
  • Ensure equipment availability and maximize uptime.
  • Develop capital requests for new equipment or major overhauls.
  • Prepare and manage budgets in alignment with approved financial plans.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in a mining operation.
  • Strong knowledge of mining and quarry methods and processes, drilling, blasting, and reserve estimation.
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment, power haulage, and sustainable mining practices.
  • Proficiency in Google G-Suite, SAP, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities to influence and manage teams.
  • Ability to foster a culture of safety, accountability, and performance excellence.
  • Willingness to embrace and champion change positively within the organization.
  • Travel Requirements: Limited domestic travel
