Role & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the proper construction of assigned building or buildings
- Ensure that all assigned construction is completed according to plans and specifications, on schedule, and that the highest quality of workmanship is achieved without creating unreasonable cost
- Coordinate with testing agencies, subcontractors, the Construction Quality Control Manager and the Project Manager
- Consistent communication with the Project Manager and Director of Construction
- Strong scheduler, able to plan with look-ahead
- Responsible for all property during building construction
- Responsible for all tools and equipment assigned to project
- Collect, review and pass complete submittals to the Architect
- Supervise all assigned carpenters, laborers and equipment operators
- Records hours worked of all assigned personnel and record hours used of all assigned equipment
- Ensure that all necessary tools and materials are available so that no loss or production time is incurred
- Ensure that needed subcontractors are thoroughly briefed as to what is expected of them and at what time and location
- Inspect receiving reports to ensure all assigned materials are received and made secure
- Report all subcontractor’s status reports no later than the 1st of each month
- Schedule and coordinate any required testing with assistance from the Quality Control Manager
- Schedule inspections as required by local governments and personally accompanies the Inspector with assistance from the Quality Control Manger
- Conduct a complete final inspection of each completed structure prior to releasing subcontractor and with Owner, noting any and all deficiencies
- Ensure Customer/Owner satisfaction by responding promptly to customer complaints and requests
- Complete reports and paperwork, such as Time Cards, Expense Reports, Purchase Orders, Safety Meeting Reports, Subcontractor Pay Application Reviews
