We are seeking an experienced Laser Operator for a long-term, direct hire role in Hartland, WI. The Laser Operator will be responsible for CNC Fiber & C02 Laser Set-up/Operation as well as managing material exchange from an automated storage system.
Pay: $25-28/h depending on experience
Shift: 1st (6 am to 2 pm)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Laser Operator:
- Perform setups and operations on CNC Fiber & C02 Lasers.
- Check material thickness for accuracy and load material into laser stocker.
- Perform assigned work to time standards and quality expectations.
- Identify and solve machine alignment and cut condition problems.
- Troubleshoot minor program errors independently.
- Cross Train across multiple laser platforms and cells.
- Account for time and work completed via online computer data collection system.
- Safely operate a forklift to handle materials and complete work.
- Make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues.
- Report and document basic material, production, and quality control issues.
- Maintain performance logbooks on assigned area equipment, report deficiencies to the maintenance team.
- Participate in equipment preventative maintenance at the operator level.
- Assist in other departments during slow periods as needed.
- 2 years’ experience preferred
- Use of precision measuring equipment
- Basic shop math & dimensional measuring
- Knowledge of variety of materials, appropriate cutting conditions, consumables, programming
- Familiarity with MAZAK equipment preferred
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and routings
- Written and verbal communication skills
