Field Service Manager- Pump and Rotating Equipment
Seeking a Field Service Manager for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Anaheim, CA.

Salary is between $90,000 - $120,000 per year (based on experience)
The Field Service Manager is a working leader who actively supports field operations while overseeing day-to-day service activities. This role requires a strong technical background in pumps and rotating equipment, with the ability to troubleshoot, supervise crews on-site, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate leads from the front—spending significant time in the field alongside technicians and customers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and actively support Service Technicians and Coordinators, ensuring successful execution of field service jobs from dispatch through completion
- Perform on-site troubleshooting, diagnostics, inspections, start-ups, and repairs on pumps and rotating equipment as needed
- Travel to customer sites to oversee complex repairs, critical shutdowns, and emergency service calls
- Ensure jobs are completed on time, within scope, and in accordance with customer specifications and company standards
- Maintain hands-on involvement in shop and field activities to drive productivity and quality control
- Enforce and model strict adherence to safety policies in both shop and field environments
- Conduct technical training and safety meetings; mentor technicians to elevate skill levels and performance
- Monitor manpower utilization and adjust field resources to meet workload demands
- Collaborate with Sales to provide technical input, job walks, scope development, and proposal support
- Identify service growth opportunities in the field and support aftermarket sales initiatives
- Advise VP of Operations on staffing, tooling, and equipment needs based on field conditions
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required; technical certification a plus
- 7+ years of hands-on experience servicing pumps and/or rotating equipment (centrifugal, positive displacement, vertical turbine, etc.)
- Proven field troubleshooting and repair experience
- Prior experience leading field crews or supervising technicians
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example and motivate a team in high-demand environments
- Strong customer-facing communication skills
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Comfortable working in shop and field environments, including industrial facilities
- Must be available for overtime and emergency service calls as required
- Travel to customer sites required; clean driving record per company guidelines
