Job Overview
We are seeking a Landscaping Sales / Business Development Representative for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Indianapolis, IN.
The Business Development Representative (BDR) will be responsible for generating new commercial business opportunities by identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective clients. This role focuses on building relationships with property managers, facility leaders, real estate developers, and other commercial decision-makers to support long-term business growth.
This position is ideal for someone with strong B2B sales experience who thrives in a relationship-driven environment and enjoys prospecting, networking, and developing new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, and industry engagement
Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified commercial landscaping opportunities
Research and identify high-value target accounts and key decision-makers
Conduct outreach through phone calls, email campaigns, LinkedIn, site visits, and in-person meetings
Qualify prospects by identifying needs, challenges, budgets, and timelines
Schedule discovery meetings and support opportunities through the proposal process
Communicate landscaping, maintenance, irrigation, snow management, and related service offerings effectively
Collaborate with internal teams to align opportunities with operational capabilities and business goals
Maintain accurate CRM activity tracking and pipeline management
Monitor outreach activity, meetings scheduled, pipeline growth, and revenue opportunities
Represent the organization at networking events, trade associations, and industry functions
Provide market feedback and contribute to ongoing sales strategy improvements
Qualifications
2+ years of B2B sales, landscaping sales, or business development experience preferred
Experience in commercial landscaping, construction, facilities, or related industries preferred
Experience using CRM systems such as HubSpot preferred
Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management abilities
Valid driver’s license required
Work Requirements
Frequent local travel for client meetings and networking events
Ability to conduct in-person meetings and routine computer/CRM work
