Job: Lead Facilities Control Engineer
Pay: $135K - $170K (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities
- Lead BMS architecture, automation standards, alarm management, data integrity, and lifecycle strategies.
- Oversee system design, commissioning, qualification, and validation.
- Ensure system reliability, regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and long-term sustainability.
- Partner with Quality on GxP compliance, investigations, audits, and corrective actions.
- Identify and mitigate risks involving environmental controls, cybersecurity, system obsolescence, and business continuity.
- Manage automation vendors and provide technical guidance to engineering teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to align automation systems with operational and regulatory requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 10+ years of experience in facilities controls, automation engineering, or BMS ownership within life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotech, or clinical laboratory environments.
- Experience managing enterprise-level BMS platforms, such as Siemens, Johnson Controls, or Honeywell.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, environmental controls, alarm management, BACnet, Modbus, OPC, and PLCs.
- Experience with automation system validation, regulatory compliance, audits, and remediation.
- Working knowledge of GxP principles, data integrity, and regulated laboratory operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering documentation tools.
- Master's degree.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience with controlled-environment room mapping, commissioning, and qualification.
- CBCP, CAP, or relevant BMS manufacturer certifications.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and access mechanical spaces.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and work with control panels, sensors, and equipment racks.
- Ability to work in mechanical rooms, on rooftops, and in laboratory environments.
- Complete required job-specific, safety, and compliance training.
- Periodic travel and occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to after-hours technical emergencies as needed.
