Superior Skilled Trades is adding a Data Quality & Reporting Analyst to our Austin team! In this role you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of operational data across company systems, reports, documents, and internal processes. This role will perform detailed daily, weekly, and monthly audits to identify discrepancies, data gaps, and process improvements. Additionally, you will also create and manage reports identifying trends and tracking inaccuracies while working closely with internal teams to resolve issues and improve overall data quality.

- Salary Range: $75,000-$80,000 (DOE)
- Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (occasional extended hours based on business needs)

Duties/Responsibilities
- Data Auditing & Quality Control
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly audits of company systems, operational reports, employee records, documents, and internal workflows.
- Identify discrepancies, trends, recurring errors, and potential areas of operational or financial risk.
- Investigate data inconsistencies and work with appropriate teams to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain audit procedures, validation processes, and quality-control standards.
- Track audit findings and recurring issues to measure improvement and ensure corrective actions are completed.
- Reporting & Data Analysis
- Analyze large data sets to identify trends, anomalies, and areas requiring further review.
- Ensure reports and source data remain aligned across systems and departments.
- Support ad hoc reporting and analysis as business needs arise.
- Work closely with operations, payroll, finance, human resources, recruiting, and other internal teams to validate information and resolve discrepancies.
- Communicate audit findings professionally and clearly while driving accountability for data accuracy.
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams on data entry standards, reporting requirements, and process expectations.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for data quality, reporting accuracy, and system auditing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, statistics, data analytics, finance, information systems, or a related field.
- Two (2) or more years of experience in data analysis, reporting, auditing, operational analytics, business intelligence, or a closely related field required.
- Experience in the staffing, construction, skilled trades, or workforce management industries preferred.
- Highly detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working across multiple systems involving large data sets.
- Strong technical proficiency, advanced Microsoft 365 capabilities, and the ability to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement are necessary attributes to succeed in the role.
- Advanced proficiency particularly Microsoft Excel, with a strong working knowledge of Excel formulas, PivotTables, lookups, data validation, Excel macros, VBA, Power Automate, Power Query, Power BI, and other AI tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work with large volumes of information while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage recurring deadlines and multiple priorities.
- Ability to independently investigate issues, identify root causes, and recommend practical solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical findings to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive business information with discretion.
