Manufacturing Engineer
Direct Hire Opportunity with Superior Skilled Trades


Position Summary

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to plan, develop, and improve manufacturing processes within a composites environment. This role supports new product introduction, cost estimating, process development, and continuous improvement across production operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review engineering drawings and customer specifications
  • Develop cost estimates including materials, labor, tooling, and vendor pricing
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) from concept through first article inspection (FAI)
  • Create and improve methods of manufacture within ERP systems
  • Provide technical support to production teams and troubleshoot manufacturing issues
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Maintain and improve data within ERP systems
  • Support programming and operation of manufacturing equipment (e.g., cutting systems)
  • Promote safety and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field
  • Experience in composites manufacturing is a plus
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, cost estimating, and production workflows
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with shop floor, vendors, and leadership

Work Environment

  • Combination of office and manufacturing floor setting
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced production environment
