DIRECT HIRE: A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Shop Mechanic Supervisor in the Ridgewood, NJ. area.

Salary is between $80,000 - $95,000 per year (based on experience), plus bonuses

In this role you will work directly with the shop manager and will have opportunities for advancement! Excellent problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude and computer proficiency will ensure success in this critical position within the company.  The Technical element of this position is extremely important. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assembly and disassembly of pumps
  • Testing pumps on our in-house test stand
  • Assembling pump systems and repairing returned equipment
  • Wiring electric motors

Skills Required:

  • Tube bending/pipe layout and fitting
  • Use of measuring instruments (micrometers, veneer calipers)
  • Metric vs Imperial measurement conversion knowledge
  • Forklift experience - no certification needed

Skills Preferred (not required):

  • Basic electrical wiring
  • Operating lathes, milling machines, band saws, etc.
  • Light welding ability (i.e., can make bracketry, etc.) - no license needed

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 Years Mechanical experience as an industrial, machine, or automobile mechanic, or similar
  • Strong references
