Seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician with 3-5 years of experience for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Sherwood, TN!

Location: Sherwood, TN
Salary: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour (based on experience)
Benefits: Full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental, and 401k

Responsibilities:

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on fluid bed dryers, granulation/milling systems, shipping systems, and mobile equipment.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the shop area.
Conduct visual inspections of all process equipment.
Perform PM activities, including greasing, oiling, and maintaining filters.
Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues with equipment.
Operate a service truck with a crane to replace components.
Perform mechanical work using hand and air-powered tools.
Complete workplace exams and pre-shift inspections.
Generate and communicate necessary documents and defect reports.
Enforce safety policies and maintain a safe work environment.
Participate in safety meetings and the Behavior Based Safety program.
Assist teammates and support Safe Quality Food certification requirements.

Qualifications:

3-5 years of electrical experience.
Completion of an apprenticeship or technical program, or equivalent industrial experience.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Problem-solving skills and strong communication abilities.
Understanding of mobile equipment mechanics.
Ability to work any shift, overtime, and on-call as needed.
Strong teamwork and independent work skills.
Basic reading and math skills.
Good attendance and reliability record.
Safety-oriented with a team mindset.

Physical Demands:

Ability to access all plant locations, including heights up to 120 feet, confined spaces, ladders, stairs, and tunnels.
Exposure to extreme heat, cold, noise, vibration, dust, fumes, and lime/mineral particles.
Physical actions such as standing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, talking, seeing, hearing, and sitting.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
