Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist for a Direct Hire Opportunity. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CNC programming, setup, and operation, with a strong focus on optimizing processes for precision, efficiency, and quality. This role involves machining, inspecting parts, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with team members to enhance production output.

Responsibilities:
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC Lathes to manufacture precision parts.
  • Optimize G-code programs using Fusion 360 to improve quality and productivity.
  • Perform quality inspections to ensure all manufactured parts meet specifications.
  • Assemble machined components, including bearing installations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of programs and production processes.
  • Assist with designing and implementing holding fixtures and inspection instruments (e.g., go/no-go gauges).
  • Select appropriate cutting tools and define optimal cutting conditions.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Train and assist other employees in CNC operations and best practices.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Proven ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC Lathes.
  • Deep understanding of turning operations, technical blueprints, and 3D models.
  • Experience in cutting tool selection and defining optimal cutting conditions.
  • Proficiency in G-code programming and experience with Fusion 360.
  • Strong knowledge of metric system measurements.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • High attention to detail, urgency, and quality standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in CNC programming, setup, and operation.
  • Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with a diverse workforce.
