Seeking a Shop Mechanic for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Gainesville, FL.

This position offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k with an employer contribution!

Salary is between $62,000 - $72,000 per year (based on experience)

The Shop Mechanic will provide complete equipment support for the shop and field operations.

Responsibilities:

Performs all maintenance on equipment assigned by the supervisor.
Performs diesel engines troubleshooting and repairs.
Performs regular inspections to identify and correct equipment malfunctions.
Perform modifications and repairs to field and shop equipment.
Performs hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
Advises supervisor of parts purchases.
Maintains work orders on all work performed and keeps Supervisor actively updated on status of work.
Assists superintendents with field equipment problems.
Travels to job locations to complete scheduled or unscheduled equipment maintenance.
Assists in the final inspection for all equipment before loading for transportation to a jobsite.
