HVAC Sheetmetal Mechanic

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking for an HVAC Sheetmetal Mechanic for a project in Lecanto, FL

• PAY: $34/hr. (based upon experience)
• HOURS: 7:00am - 3:30pm 40+ hours a week
• START DATE: 10/01/2024
• DURATION: Temp to Perm

Position Overview:

Will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC duct systems, ensuring efficient airflow and optimal system performance. This role requires expertise in reading blueprints and hands-on experience with various duct installation techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for HVAC systems.

- Hang and install ductwork, including flexible duct and sheet metal duct.

- Fabricate and install offsets and 90-degree angles using sheet metal.

- Work with snap-lock and spiral pipe systems to ensure secure and efficient ductwork.

- Install and service commercial kitchen hoods and ventilation systems.

- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of installed duct systems.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as an HVAC Mechanic / Duct Installer or similar role.

- Proficient in reading blueprints and technical specifications.

- Hands-on experience with ductwork installation, including hanging, running, and insulating ducts.

- Knowledge of sheet metal duct fabrication and installation techniques.

- Experience installing commercial kitchen hoods and related ventilation systems.

- Familiarity with snap-lock pipe and spiral pipe applications.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Relevant certifications or licenses preferred.

• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Must have reliable transportation to the job site
• Background screening required
