Seeking a Civil Engineer with airside design experience for a direct hire opportunity with our client in New York, NY.

Salary is between $105,000 - $115,000 per year (based on experience)

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team and support airside infrastructure projects under the direction of a Principal Civil Engineer. The selected candidate will represent the civil design staff and play a key role in the conceptual and final design of airside projects, including the rehabilitation and reconstruction of runways, taxiways, and aprons.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform conceptual and final design for airside infrastructure projects such as runway, taxiway, and apron rehabilitation or reconstruction.
  • Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and contract documents in accordance with project requirements and FAA standards.
  • Collaborate with the Principal Civil Engineer and project teams to ensure design accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop detailed design models, grading plans, and construction drawings.
  • Apply FAA Advisory Circulars and standards throughout the design process.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders to support project delivery.
  • Support field visits and design evaluations as needed.
  • Maintain project documentation and communicate effectively with team members and clients.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant airside design experience and at least 4 years of total engineering design experience (project management or construction management experience will not be considered relevant).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing contract documents, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Familiarity with FAA standards and advisory circulars.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
