Responsibilities:
- Review blueprints and project specifications to generate accurate cost estimates for electrical work on construction projects
- Analyze project requirements, identify value engineering options, and provide cost breakdowns to project managers
- Evaluate labor and material costs, identify potential cost savings, and analyze project requirement
- Identify opportunities for value engineering and suggest cost-effective alternatives while maintaining project quality
- Provide cost breakdowns and assist project managers with project execution and budgeting
- Develop accurate bid proposals for electrical projects, considering various factors like labor, materials, and project-specific conditions
- Answer client questions about electrical work, provide written briefs, and clearly communicate project cost estimates
- Minimum 2 years' electrical estimating experience on Industrial and Commercial projects
- Knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards is crucial
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and other technical drawings
- Experience in developing accurate cost estimates for electrical projects
- Ability to analyze complex situations, identify potential issues, and develop solutions
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders
- Strong mathematical skills for accurate calculations
- Experience with Accubid and Microsoft Office
