DIRECT HIRE: Seeking motivated and dependable Welders/Fabricators to join the structural steel manufacturing team. This position is responsible for fabricating and assembling structural steel components using specialized fabrication equipment including plasma tables, web weld stations, flange weld stations, and dual weld stations. Candidates with welding experience are preferred; however, individuals with strong fabrication skills and the ability to accurately read a tape measure are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:
Fabricate and assemble structural steel components according to blueprints, work orders, and production specifications
Operate fabrication equipment including plasma tables, web weld stations, flange weld stations and dual weld stations
Measure, cut, fit, and position steel materials accurately using hand tools, measuring devices, and shop equipment
Read and interpret tape measurements precisely to ensure accurate dimensions and proper fit-up of structural components
Perform welding and tack welding on structural steel assemblies when required using approved welding procedures
Inspect fabricated components for quality, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with production standards
Maintain safe and organized work areas while following company safety policies and procedures
Assist with material handling, positioning, and movement of steel components using shop equipment and overhead lifting devices
Collaborate with production teams and supervisors to maintain workflow efficiency and meet production deadlines
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of fabrication tools and equipment
Identify and report equipment malfunctions, material defects, or production issues to supervisors promptly
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and workplace safety
Qualifications:
Previous experience in structural steel fabrication, manufacturing or welding preferred
Ability to accurately read a tape measure is required
Experience operating fabrication equipment such as plasma tables, weld stations, or metalworking machinery is preferred
Welding experience with MIG, Flux-Core or structural steel welding is helpful but not required
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication specifications preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining quality standards
Ability to lift, move, and handle heavy steel materials safely
Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with company procedures and OSHA standards
