💰 Salary: $135,000+ (based on experience)

Position Overview

SUPERIOR SKILLED TRADES is partnered with a respected engineering firm seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in an MEP engineering consulting environment, designing complex HVAC systems for commercial, healthcare, and industrial buildings. This is a direct-hire opportunity offering flexibility, competitive compensation, and long-term stability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design complex HVAC systems within an MEP consulting setting

  • Design and oversee construction of hydronic systems (chilled water, hot water, and steam)

  • Utilize Trace 700 for cooling load calculations and energy modeling (preferred)

  • Prepare and coordinate drawings using AutoCAD and Revit

  • Meet with clients on-site and participate in project meetings

  • Conduct site inspections and support construction administration

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of HVAC design experience in an MEP engineering office

  • Experience designing complex HVAC systems for commercial buildings

  • Strong knowledge of hydronic system design and construction (chilled, hot, and steam)

  • Proficiency with Trace 700, AutoCAD, and Revit

  • Willingness to meet with clients on-site and perform site inspections

  • Minimal overnight travel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare or hospital project experience

  • Experience using Trace 700 for energy modeling
