Assistant Estimator
Gaithersburg, MD - Full Time
We are seeking an Assistant Estimator for a direct hire opportunity in Gaithersburg MD with a design-assist specialty contractor

- Pay Range: $50-60 (depending on experience)
- Assists in preparing accurate material take-offs.
- Organizes specifications per job scope for estimate.
- Prepares substitution requests for value engineering purposes.
- Assists in the preparation of project cost, estimates, and bid for new projects.
- Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
- 3-5 years of construction estimating experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or engineering preferred
- Experience in business development, is a plus but not required
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the construction field.
- Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Ability to make sound decisions based on experience and personal judgment.
- Have excellent communication and organization skills.
- Proficiency with Excel and Bluebeam is a plus.
