Position Summary
The Superintendent is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all assigned projects to ensure safety, quality, production, and profitability goals are met. This role oversees crews, manages multiple job sites, ensures projects are completed on schedule and within budget, and enforces company policies and safety standards. The Superintendent provides leadership, guidance, and mentorship to foremen and crew members to drive high-quality work and overall project success.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Management
Conduct inspections to monitor work quality, safety, and compliance.
Plan, schedule, and manage labor, equipment, subcontractors, and materials.
Coordinate with Project Manager and Operations on project needs and expectations.
Analyze labor, materials, and costs to establish realistic project goals.
Travel between multiple job sites while managing workloads.
Communicate and resolve project issues with team members, subcontractors, and clients.
Report project performance to management and implement feedback.
Project Administration
Complete administrative tasks accurately and on time.
Maintain thorough documentation of project activities, safety, and compliance.
Leadership & Culture
Mentor, coach, and develop foremen and crew members.
Promote teamwork, accountability, and adherence to quality and safety standards.
Lead by example to drive high-quality work and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Minimum 7 years of experience in commercial construction, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and project documentation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Ability to work Monday–Friday with occasional evenings/weekends; flexible schedule.
Reliable transportation for travel to multiple project sites.
Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
High school diploma or equivalent (experience may substitute for education).
Ability to work in heights, confined spaces, dusty areas, and extreme environmental conditions.
Strong willingness and ability to learn new tasks.
Fluency in Spanish preferred.
