Superior Skilled Trades is partnering on a direct hire opportunity for an experienced Superintendent to lead construction operations in the Atlanta market, with the majority of work located in Marietta, GA.

The Superintendent is responsible for directing and coordinating all field activities related to the construction and maintenance of buildings, facilities, and systems. This role plays a critical part in project planning and execution, overseeing scheduling, budgeting, implementation, compliance, and final completion.
Champion and enforce a proactive jobsite safety culture, ensuring full OSHA compliance among contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel.
Lead daily construction operations, directing activities related to building and system installation.
Plan and coordinate project schedules to ensure milestone and deadline achievement.
Collaborate with owners, design professionals, consultants, and contractors to resolve construction challenges and procedural issues.
Review construction documents and specifications to determine appropriate building methods and sequencing.
Monitor compliance with construction documents, safety codes, building regulations, and environmental standards.
Prepare and review cost tracking reports, budget estimates, and progress updates.
Investigate site incidents, delays, or damage to confirm adherence to proper construction procedures.
Support contract preparation and negotiate revisions with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors as needed.
Develop, implement, and maintain quality control initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.
Minimum of 5 years of experience serving as a Superintendent
OR
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with at least 3 years of progressive, relevant construction experience
Experience with SCIF construction and/or retrofit projects is highly preferred
Ability to navigate active construction sites, including climbing ladders and scaffolding and walking on uneven surfaces
Capability to lift up to 50 pounds
Manual dexterity and coordination to handle tools and equipment
Visual acuity, hearing, communication skills, and mental focus necessary for jobsite leadership
Ability to operate a motor vehicle
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods (30 minutes to 2 hours consecutively)
Endurance to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Strong concentration and composure under tight deadlines or stressful situations
Quick decision-making skills to address field challenges as they arise
Strict adherence to PPE requirements including hard hats, safety vests, and steel-toed boots
Ability to learn and retain complex processes after training
