DIRECT HIRE: An amazing opportunity for an experienced Underground Foreman in the Bethesda, MD. area. The successful candidate would oversee a team of 5 Laborers and an Operator in a tunneling/mining environment.
Pay: $52hr. + OT
Schedule: Mondays - Fridays (some Saturdays)
Reports to: Underground Superintendent

Role & Responsibilities:
- Must be knowledgeable in underground drilling equipment, installation of rock anchors, installation of underground steel support
- Oversee the setup and operation of mining equipment and machinery
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of mining personnel, including shotcrete, drill, shoot, and concrete operations
- Provide training and guidance to staff on proper equipment use and safety procedures
- Plan and schedule daily operations for shotcrete, drilling, shooting, and concrete tasks.
- Monitor and inspect work sites to ensure compliance with operational standards and OSHA regulations.
- Hand shotcrete nozzlemen experience is required
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Implement corrective actions as needed to address safety issues
- Maintain accurate records of operational activities, including daily logs, safety reports, and equipment maintenance.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or equipment malfunctions to management promptly.
- Ensure that shotcrete, drill, shoot, and concrete operations meet quality standards and specifications.
- Minimum 15 years of Underground Foreman experience
- ACI Certification is required
- Shotcrete Association Nozzleman certification
- OSHA30 preferred
- Certified, or capable welder
- Manlift operator certification
- Must be able to pass a respirator fit test
