Senior Structural Engineer

Seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for a direct hire opportunity with our client,  a prominent transportation contractor specializing in the construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance of bridges, railroads, and civil structures. Salary is between $90,000 - $130,000 per year (based on experience.)

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects in heavy/highway civil construction and structural engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Performing structural analysis and design, including reinforced and pre-stressed concrete design, steel design, timber design, deep foundations, earth retaining structures, crane pick plans/rigging, bridge deck, etc.
• Ensuring design compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Preparing engineering reports, memoranda, and design submittals.
• Generating working/draft construction drawings.
• Handling additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Qualifications:

• 10 years of structural engineering and design, bridge experience is essential.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited institution, with a minimum.  A master's degree focused on structural engineering is preferred.
• PE license is mandatory.
• Proficiency in utilizing Structural finite element analysis software tools such as MIDAS or RISA.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel.
• Familiarity with critical industry codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC Steel Specification and Construction Manual, NDS, AREMA, AASHTO, and AWS.
• Commitment to continued professional development for PE License.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction.
