Semi Truck/Trailer Service Manager

We are seeking a Service Manager with experience in repair facility operations in Tampa, FL. This role involves overseeing the service and repair department, identifying customer needs, and providing solutions to ensure profitability and total customer satisfaction.

Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000 per year + monthly commission and yearly bonuses

Key Responsibilities:

• Assign repair orders to service technicians daily, ensuring alignment with each tech’s strengths, knowledge, and experience.
• Collaborate with the shop foreman to effectively manage repair assignments.
• Communicate with office staff regarding payroll hours and service billing.
• Provide guidance to technicians, assist with troubleshooting, and address collection needs.
• Support the General Manager with employee disciplinary actions as needed.
• Assist technicians in diagnosing, repairing, and servicing eighteen-wheeler trailers:
  • Coordinate with service writers to schedule preventive maintenance and breakdowns.
  • Communicate with customers about their repair needs.
  • Order and obtain parts from the Parts Department.
  • Perform repairs both in-shop and at customer locations.
  • Complete required documentation and paperwork.
• Diagnose technical issues with trailers and recommend solutions to meet customer expectations:
  • Address technical problems involving HVAC, electrical, air systems, brakes, axles, and lighting systems.
  • Resolve customer relations issues and prepare detailed estimates.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in semi-truck/trailer body shop repair.
• Minimum of 3 years in operations management or service management.
• Proven experience in semi-trailer maintenance and repair.
• Strong ability to lead, coordinate, and empower a team of technicians.
• Effective communication skills with both customers and employees.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Basic computer proficiency is a MUST.
• Ability to meet physical and mobility requirements.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
