Seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer for a direct hire role in San Diego, CA

Responsibilities for Fire Sprinkler Designer:
  • Responsible for producing suitable (i.e., profitably buildable) fire protection system shop drawings from customer's plans, with appropriate hydraulic calculations.
  • Preparation of required submittal packages and material and equipment lists for system fabrication and installation.
  • Must be able to visualize three dimensional concepts implicit in two dimensional prints.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Qualifications for Fire Sprinkler Designer:
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Fire Protection Design.
  • Several years’ experience in preparing and interpreting blueprints, schematics, shop drawings, instructions manuals, and technical specifications.
  • High School graduate, or G.E.D. equivalent required
  • Some college, especially courses in advanced mathematics, blueprint preparation and interpretation, project management, and related subjects preferred
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Level-Ill Certification NICET (National Institute for Certification of Engineering Technologies)
