CNC Machinist/Programmer

Hebron, KY - Full Time

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer with strong experience in programming, setup, and operation of CNC machines, including 3-axis / 4-axis, & 5-axis / 7-axis milling and 2-axis & multi-axis Swiss Turning CNC lathes. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on machining experience and the ability to work independently from start to finish, taking projects from blueprint to finished part while ensuring precision, efficiency, and quality.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC mills (4-axis & 5-axis) and CNC lathes.
  • Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and engineering drawings to create accurate programs and setups.
  • Utilize CAM software to generate tool paths for complex geometries.
  • Select tooling, fixtures, and machine parameters for optimal performance.
  • Perform first-article inspections and verify dimensions using precision measuring tools.
  • Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production team to improve processes and reduce lead times.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years CNC machining experience with strong background in multi-axis milling and Swiss turning.
  • Proficiency in CNC programming (Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of G-code, speeds/feeds, and cutting tool selection.
  • Experience with tight tolerances and working with a variety of materials (stainless, aluminum, Inconel, titanium, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with high-performance aerospace or medical components.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
  • CAD/CAM design background.
