We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer with strong experience in programming, setup, and operation of CNC machines, including 3-axis / 4-axis, & 5-axis / 7-axis milling and 2-axis & multi-axis Swiss Turning CNC lathes. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on machining experience and the ability to work independently from start to finish, taking projects from blueprint to finished part while ensuring precision, efficiency, and quality.
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities
Program, set up, and operate CNC mills (4-axis & 5-axis) and CNC lathes.
Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and engineering drawings to create accurate programs and setups.
Utilize CAM software to generate tool paths for complex geometries.
Select tooling, fixtures, and machine parameters for optimal performance.
Perform first-article inspections and verify dimensions using precision measuring tools.
Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to maintain quality and efficiency.
Perform routine maintenance on machines and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Collaborate with engineers and production team to improve processes and reduce lead times.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years CNC machining experience with strong background in multi-axis milling and Swiss turning.
Proficiency in CNC programming (Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar).
Strong knowledge of G-code, speeds/feeds, and cutting tool selection.
Experience with tight tolerances and working with a variety of materials (stainless, aluminum, Inconel, titanium, etc.).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills
Experience with high-performance aerospace or medical components.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
CAD/CAM design background.
