Superior Skilled Trades is partnered with a company seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator to support active construction projects.

As a Safety Coordinator, you will play a critical role in promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture across active construction projects. You will work closely with project teams, business unit leadership, and safety management to ensure compliance with safety standards and proactive risk mitigation.
This position requires strong field presence, leadership capability, and the ability to collaborate effectively with subcontractors, project management teams, and client safety representatives.
Lead and actively promote the company’s Injury-Free Environment (IFE) culture.
Conduct subcontractor onboarding including pre-construction meetings, review of site-specific safety plans, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), training requirements, and orientations.
Coach project team members on safety leadership and best management practices.
Collect and review pre-task plans and provide improvement feedback.
Perform and document daily safety inspections and audits using Predictive Solutions software.
Assist with and conduct safety orientations for all on-site personnel.
Facilitate weekly mass safety meetings.
Conduct incident investigations and document findings as needed.
Interact directly with client safety representatives.
Maintain accurate and organized safety documentation.
Identify safety training needs and deliver training as appropriate.
OSHA 30 and/or OSHA 510 certification (within the last 3 years).
Competent Person training in fall protection, scaffolding, excavation, and trenching.
Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
Strong communication and listening skills.
Ability to identify and resolve complex safety issues.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong team collaboration skills with a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
Ability to work onsite in a physically demanding construction environment.
Bilingual English/Spanish speaking skills strongly desired.
Experience working in commercial construction environments.
Experience leading safety meetings and conducting documented audits.
