Licensed Industrial Wastewater Operator

JC - Roseland, NJ - Full Time

Seeking a Licensed Wastewater Operator with industrial manufacturing experience for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Roseland, NJ.

This position offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k!  

Salary is between $80,000 - $93,500 per year (based on experience) Hours are Monday - Friday 10:00am - 6:30pm.

This position will be responsible to operate and maintain Wastewater treatment systems, ensuring records are maintained, and accurate, regulatory requirements are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain wastewater treatment systems, including pumps, screens, clarifiers, chemical feed systems, and other related equipment.

  • Perform regular sampling, testing, and analysis of wastewater to ensure compliance with discharge permits and environmental standards.

  • Adjust treatment processes and chemical dosages as needed to maintain proper system balance and performance.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs, reports, and documentation as required by regulatory agencies.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process issues related to wastewater operations.

  • Perform preventive maintenance and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.

  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals and sludge in accordance with safety and environmental guidelines.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to water conservation and waste reduction.

  • Participate in safety and environmental audits, inspections, and emergency response activities.

  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to ensure wastewater system reliability during manufacturing operations.

  • All other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • N-1 Wastewater License - Required | N2 Wastewater Licensed -Preferred

  • Industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.

  • Microsoft Skills {Outlook and Excel}.

  • Knowledge in preventative maintenance and good repair practices.

  • Knowledgeable in repairing and rebuilding pumps.

  • Ability to replace motors, valves, aerators, and filters.

  • Must be able to run and fit PVC and black piping.
