Construction Safety Manager - Per Diem Offered!
NC - Reno, NV - Full Time
Seeking a Safety Manager with OSHA 500 for a long term opportunity in Reno, NV!
$35 - $40/hr plus OT! $90/day per diem (for days worked)
Current Schedule - M-F 10 hour days
In this role you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting inspections, investigating incidents, and implementing safety improvement initiatives, creating a safe work environment for all employees!
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to promote a safe work environment
- Provide safety training to employees on topics such as hazard identification, emergency response, and proper use of personal protective equipment
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop corrective actions
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities
- Prepare reports on safety performance and present findings to management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement safety improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- Must hold OSHA 510 and/or OSHA 500
3+ years’ recent experience in the construction environment where 100% of position's day-to-day job functions entailed safety, health, and/or environmental protection. - Bilingual (english/spanish) is preferred!
