We are seeking an experienced HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic to perform commercial HVAC sheet metal fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair. The ideal candidate can read blueprints, operate fabrication equipment, work independently and with a team, and maintain a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications.
Measure, lay out, cut, bend, and form sheet metal components.
Operate fabrication equipment, including shears, brakes, presses, and forming rolls.
Install, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC sheet metal systems.
Train and assist apprentices with on-the-job development.
Coordinate with supervisors, crew members, and other trades.
Follow safety procedures, use required PPE, and maintain current licenses and certifications.
Maintain professional customer interactions and a clean, organized work area.
Connecticut Sheet Metal 2 License required.
Minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC experience.
Valid driver's license.
Strong mechanical aptitude and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be able to stand, walk, climb ladders and stairs, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and regularly lift up to 50 lbs., occasionally lift 51–100 lbs., and rarely lift over 100 lbs.
Pay: $40–$45 per hour
