Low Voltage Estimator

Seeking a Low Voltage Estimator for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Austin, TX.

Pay: $120K - $135K (based on experience)

Responsible for preparing detailed and accurate Self-Perform Work (SPW) cost estimates to support project planning, bidding, and operational decisions. Applies knowledge of materials, labor, equipment, and production methods to evaluate SPW scopes across multiple trades. Works closely with project, field, procurement, scheduling, and operations teams to ensure estimates reflect realistic production rates, current market conditions, and project-specific risks.
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive SPW cost estimates incorporating material, labor, equipment, and production costs across multiple scopes.
• Review drawings, models, and specifications to validate quantities, confirm scope completeness, and identify potential risks or gaps.
• Collaborate with field leaders, engineers, project teams, and operations to verify production rates and align estimates with execution plans.
• Partner with procurement teams to evaluate vendor and supplier pricing, level bids, validate project assumptions, and identify pricing variances.
• Develop cost studies and variance analyses to support value engineering and constructability decisions.
• Coordinate with scheduling and operations teams to align SPW estimates with project phasing, access, sequencing, and execution requirements.
• Identify SPW-related risks, constraints, and uncertainties and incorporate appropriate allowances or contingencies in coordination with operations.
• Maintain historical cost and production data to improve estimating tools, processes, and accuracy.
• Clearly communicate estimate assumptions, findings, risks, and recommendations to project stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience required.

• 4–6 years of experience in estimating, preconstruction, cost analysis, self-perform work, or construction projects required.
