Position Summary
The Foreman is responsible for overall supervision of assigned projects, ensuring safety, quality, production, and profitability goals are met. This role involves coaching, mentoring, and developing employees on-site while partnering with the Project Manager to schedule, organize, and ensure timely, cost-effective, and safe performance. The Foreman serves as the field leader, applying expertise to maintain high-quality work, train team members, and drive customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Management
Review, interpret, and apply contract guidelines, plans, specifications, and project milestones.
Plan, schedule, and manage labor, subcontractors, materials, and deliveries in coordination with Project Manager and client.
Analyze labor, materials, and costs to establish realistic project expectations.
Communicate and coordinate with team members to prevent and resolve issues.
Participate in project meetings with clients and subcontractors.
Report project performance to Project Manager and relay PM feedback to workforce.
Project Administration
Complete all administrative tasks timely and accurately, using PC and project software.
Maintain documentation of project activities, safety, and compliance.
Leadership & Culture
Mentor, coach, and develop crew members to improve performance and safety awareness.
Promote teamwork, accountability, and adherence to quality and safety standards.
Lead by example to drive high-quality work and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
5–7 years of experience in commercial construction, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and project documentation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Ability to work Monday–Friday with occasional evenings/weekends; flexible schedule.
Reliable transportation for travel to multiple project sites.
Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
High school diploma or equivalent (experience may substitute for education).
Ability to work in heights, confined spaces, dusty areas, and extreme environmental conditions.
Strong willingness and ability to learn new tasks.
Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
