Diesel Mechanic

Seeking a Service Technician with repair facility experience for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Apopka, FL.
This position offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental, Life insurance, and 401k!
Salary is between $18.00-$30.00/per year (based on experience)
In this role you will be servicing and repairing Dry Van trailers, Dump Trailers, Flatbed Trailers, Reefer Trailers, and more!
Responsibilities:
- Meet and maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards
- Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform maintenance on trailers
- Perform PM inspections and make necessary repairs on trailers
- Troubleshoot ABS system and repair as needed
- Disc and drum brake repairs on semi-trailers
- Electrical work on lights and systems
- Welding and light fabrication skills
- Roll door repairs
- Support and help shop foreman and team members
- Other duties as directed
Qualifications:
- Preferable own tools and tool box or be willing to purchase
- Keep an organized and clean work area
- Prompt and reliable employee
- 1-2-year mechanic experience preferred but not required
- Effective communicator and team player
- Physical activities include: walking, being able to lift more than 20 lbs., twisting, turning, and climbing ladders
- Able to pass a drug test
