Industrial Maintenance Technician

DD - Manchester, TN - Full Time

Seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician with 3-5 years of experience for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Sherwood, TN!

Location: Sherwood, TN
Salary: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour (based on experience)

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on fluid bed dryers, granulation/milling systems, shipping systems, and mobile equipment.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the shop area.
  • Conduct visual inspections of all process equipment.
  • Perform PM activities, including greasing, oiling, and maintaining filters.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues with equipment.
  • Operate a service truck with a crane to replace components.
  • Perform mechanical work using hand and air-powered tools.
  • Complete workplace exams and pre-shift inspections.
  • Generate and communicate necessary documents and defect reports.
  • Enforce safety policies and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Participate in safety meetings and the Behavior Based Safety program.
  • Assist teammates and support Safe Quality Food certification requirements.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of electrical experience.
  • Completion of an apprenticeship or technical program, or equivalent industrial experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Problem-solving skills and strong communication abilities.
  • Understanding of mobile equipment mechanics.
  • Ability to work any shift, overtime, and on-call as needed.
  • Strong teamwork and independent work skills.
  • Basic reading and math skills.
  • Good attendance and reliability record.
  • Safety-oriented with a team mindset.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to access all plant locations, including heights up to 120 feet, confined spaces, ladders, stairs, and tunnels.
  • Exposure to extreme heat, cold, noise, vibration, dust, fumes, and lime/mineral particles.
  • Physical actions such as standing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, talking, seeing, hearing, and sitting.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
