Traffic Signal Installer

We are seeking a Traffic Signal Installer with hands-on experience in traffic signal installation and maintenance for a direct hire opportunity with our client, a well-established electrical company specializing in highway lighting and traffic signalization projects.

Position Overview:
As a Traffic Signal Installer, you will play a key role in installing and maintaining electronic traffic control devices. You’ll ensure the successful completion of projects with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain electronic traffic control devices.
  • Assemble, install, test, repair, and adjust electrical and mechanical components of traffic signals and related equipment.
  • Install traffic signal poles, overhead signals, signs, pedestrian features, and other signal components.
  • Follow oral and written instructions and detailed plans.
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems and components.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
  • Inspect electrical systems and equipment to ensure code compliance.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of field experience in Traffic Signal installation and maintenance (required).
  • IMSA Florida Certification (preferred).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Clean driving record: Class A CDL preferred.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, bend, crouch, push, pull, climb, drive, operate equipment, and lift at least 50 lbs.
