This role provides hands-on support to fleet maintenance and operations team, performing a wide range of tasks that keep vehicles, equipment, and the shop in safe, ready-to-work condition. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, and willing to jump in wherever help is needed—from operating a forklift to keeping work areas clean and organized.
📍 Working Location: Merritt Island, FL. 💰 Pay: $27hr - $35hr (depending on experience) Benefits 🕒 Shifts needed:
7am - 3pm
3pm - 11pm
11pm - 7am
Responsibilities:
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move parts, materials, vehicles, and equipment safely throughout the shop and yard
Support fleet mechanics and technicians with general tasks, including staging parts, retrieving tools, and assisting with vehicle and equipment maintenance
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including sweeping, removing debris, and disposing of waste and recyclables properly
Receive, unload, stock, and organize parts, supplies, and materials
Perform basic vehicle and equipment checks such as fluid levels, tire pressure, and visual inspections
Assist with moving and positioning vehicles, trailers, and equipment within the facility
Maintain shop equipment and tools, reporting damaged or malfunctioning items to supervisors
Support inventory counts and help track parts and consumables
Perform other duties as assigned to support fleet, shop, and site operations
Skills/Qualifications:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to safely operate a forklift (certification required upon hire)
Ability to operate scissor lifts and boom lifts (certification required upon hire)
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and to stand, walk, bend, and work on your feet for extended periods
Willingness to perform a wide variety of tasks, including general cleanup and labor
Strong reliability, attention to detail, and a safety-first mindset
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work well as part of a team
Required
Current forklift operator certification
Aerial operator certification
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in a fleet, automotive, warehouse, or maintenance shop environment

Work is performed in a shop, warehouse, and outdoor yard environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, and fumes
Requires frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, and operating equipment
Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Steel toe shoes are required
