Carpenter Foreman

DD - Madison, WI - Full Time

Seeking an experienced Carpentry Foreman to oversee and manage all aspects of Carpentry work on construction sites for a General Contractor. You will supervise a team of workers, ensuring that projects adhere to safety and quality standards, and are completed on time and within budget.

Pay: $35 - $40 an hour, Based on Experience
Location: Within a 60 mile radius of Madison, WI
Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM – OVERTIME

Responsibilities for Carpenter Foreman:

  • Oversee and direct a crew of workers in various carpentry tasks including  installing structures and fixtures such as frames, windows, doors, flooring, trim,  and hardware.  
  • Operate forklifts, man lifts, and other construction site equipment after obtaining  certification.
  • Provide training and guidance to crew members.
  • Operations, and other trade partners to ensure seamless coordination of the project.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and job specifications to plan and execute carpentry work.
  • Ensure that all materials, tools, and equipment are available and ready to use.
  • Inspect work to ensure it meets WB quality standards and local building codes.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings (morning huddles, etc.) and inspections to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Prepare and submit required reports, including timesheets, daily logs, etc.
  • Willingness to take on responsibilities beyond those outlined in the job description.
Qualifications for Carpenter Foreman:
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in carpentry work, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of carpentry construction techniques, materials, and best  practices.
  • Employee exhibits and abides by Employee Success Formula (Top 18).
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification, ACI Certification, First Aid/CPR.
  • Certification preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction.
  • Able to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills.
