DIRECT HIRE: An awesome opportunity for an experienced Turret Operator to join a dynamic team. The Turret Operator is responsible for setting up, programming, loading and unloading materials, and operating turret equipment to process parts according to blueprint specifications and quality standards. This role includes basic troubleshooting, inspection, and maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
Read and interpret blueprint specifications for the purpose of processing production parts
Set stops and guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, jig, or template
Observe machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction
Use a variety of precision measuring devices to set-up and adjust work and verify conformance of work to specifications
Stack, mark, and pack finished product
Conducts basic troubleshooting of machine
Follow all clean up and housekeeping procedures
Comply with all quality and safety requirements

Education and/or Experience:
Requires education generally equivalent to a High School Diploma
2 or more years’ experience preferred
Requires basic shop math
Experience with a variety of materials and programming desired
Familiarity with current machinery brands used desired (Rainer/Amada)
Must perform metric conversions
Requires good oral and written communication skills to interact with coworkers
Must be able to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and routings
Experience with ERP system desired
Physical Demands: While performing the duties and responsibilities of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, and listen, and frequently use hands to finger, handle, or touch materials and controls. The employee is occasionally required to walk; operate machines using foot/feet; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; reach above shoulder height; and move from place to place. Specific vision requirements for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Lift and carry materials weighing:
Up to 20 lbs. from floor to 43" and from 43" to 53" repetitively
Up to 30 lbs. from floor to 53" for multiple repetitions
Up to 50 lbs. from 37" to 53" as needed during setup and operation
Occasionally lift up to 65 lbs. from 37" to 43"
Push and pull materials on a 43" work surface using up to 25 lbs. of force in forward, lateral, and backward motions
Reach forward and above shoulder height, including reaching to control panels up to 18" in front of the body and 60" high
Maintain balance on each leg for up to 30 seconds
Stand and walk for the duration of the shift while performing setup, operation, and inspection tasks
