Biologist / Environmental Scientist

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking an experienced Biologist / Environmental Scientist to support environmental planning, habitat restoration, biological monitoring, and compliance projects throughout California and surrounding regions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct biological field surveys for special-status plant and animal species
• Perform habitat assessments, nesting bird surveys, invasive species assessments, and biological monitoring
• Assist with wetland delineations and environmental compliance activities
• Gather and analyze environmental data and prepare technical reports
• Support CEQA/NEPA documentation and permitting efforts
• Deliver environmental compliance training to field staff
• Coordinate with project teams, agencies, and field personnel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Ecology, Wildlife Biology, Botany, Environmental Science, or related field
• 5+ years of biological field survey and reporting experience
• Strong knowledge of:
  • CEQA / NEPA
  • Federal & California ESA
  • MBTA
  • Clean Water Act
  • Fish & Game Code
  • Section 404 permitting
• Experience identifying special-status species and habitat types
• Strong technical writing and data analysis skills
• Ability to travel and work in field environments throughout California

Preferred

• Wetland delineation experience
• Construction monitoring experience
• GIS experience
• Environmental consulting background
