DIRECT HIRE: The Fabrication Shop Floor Supervisor leads and coordinates daily operations of the manufacturing shop floor to ensure production efficiency, quality craftsmanship, safety compliance, and team effectiveness. This hands-on leadership role requires solid welding knowledge and practical metal fabrication experience, coupled with strong communication and team management skills.

Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily shop floor operations, including workflow coordination, scheduling, and production priorities
Lead, mentor, and train shop staff — including welders and fabricators — to meet quality and safety standards
Evaluate work performance, provide constructive feedback, and enforce company policies
Ensure compliance with workplace safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to assign and sequence tasks properly
Collaborate with other departments (engineering, quality assurance, logistics) to support production goals and resolve issues
Monitor weld quality and fabrication standards throughout the production cycle
Coordinate material flow, equipment use, and tooling requirements to keep production on schedule
Identify opportunities to improve shop processes and implement best practices
Maintain documentation for production activities, safety records, and employee time tracking
Qualifications:
Strong hands-on experience in welding and metal fabrication techniques
Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop personnel
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to supervise daily operations in a manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of reading blueprints and fabrication instructions
Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
Prior supervisory experience preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications in welding or fabrication (AWS, etc.) a plus
