DIRECT HIRE: An amazing opportunity for an experienced Construction Superintendent to join a dynamic team. It is important that the Superintendent is in sync with planning, scheduling, and project related information (updated plans, specification, RFIs, Submittals, and other documentation).
Salary Range: $85K - $125K (DEO)
Base schedule/hours: M - F, 8am - 5pm

General Roles & Responsibilities:
- Managing subcontractor schedules (through and in coordination with the Project Manager and other necessary project staff), quality of work, and coordination with other trades
- Identifying and resolving (or assisting in resolution), all issues impacting or having potential to impact the safety of personnel, quality of the construction, or the project schedule/completion date
- Detailed understanding and knowledge of each and every subcontractor scope of work and communicating any identified “scope gaps” early enough to avoid delay of the project
- Constant focus on forward planning, including ensuring preliminary communication with all individual Subcontractors for coordinating start of their work, preconstruction meetings, and job walks to ensure all obstacles, potential issues, material and equipment logistical needs are considered, and that they are resolved and in place when they arrive to start work
- Professionally setting a tone with subcontractor foremen that the company's Projects must take precedence to other work they may have – never allow them to push off the company's project needs for a non-company project
- Monitoring and recognizing impacts to the project (cost and schedule), and working with the Project Manager to assess any required back-charges necessary
- Ensure Project Documentation is always current (daily) with sufficient detail
- Become a master with the company’s Project Management System (ProjectSight), understanding the application for proper and professional documentation (photos, wording, etc.)
- Awareness of Subcontractor Daily Resources (on-sight personnel) and note properly in ProjectSight “Daily Reports” when resources are below what is necessary and is impacting daily production and causing delay to critical activities
- Manage the overall site safety program as required and ensure subcontractor compliance with the company’s standards and all applicable safety codes and regulations
- Check daily for safety violations of all job site workers
- Education: Construction Management Degree highly desired, Business, Engineering, or Architecture acceptable, other College with Experience considered
- Must have experience leading field level associates/technicians in a similar industry
- Possess strong leadership skills and be goal-orientated with strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment
- A successful Candidate must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customers
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Project, Excel, and Word
- Construction Project Management Applications – ability to learn and use
- Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat for markup of .pdf documentation – ability to learn or use is desired
- Knowledge of Construction and Architecture terms – necessary
- Basic Knowledge of Contract Language – necessary understanding
- Must have a valid and clean Driver License
- Must be able to successfully pass a stringent Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department background check to be able to be granted access to Correctional Facilities
- OSHA 30 Hour Training Certification or commitment to complete training within three months of hire date
