Position Overview
This is a Direct Hire Opportunity. As a Machinist II (Mill), you will operate and set up CNC milling machines, including 3-axis and 5-axis CNC mills, to produce precision aerospace components. You will be responsible for machine setup, program adjustments, inspection, and ensuring all parts meet blueprint and quality specifications. This role requires 5+ years of CNC milling experience and the ability to work independently in a cellular manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines and related equipment
- Work with 3-axis and 5-axis CNC mill machines
- Make program edits and adjustments to ensure part accuracy
- Operate multiple machines in a cellular production environment
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, and work orders
- Apply proper feeds, speeds, and tooling selection
- Inspect parts to ensure dimensional and quality compliance
- Maintain accurate production records (counts, scrap, time, etc.)
- Perform routine machine maintenance and coolant system upkeep
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow safety standards
- Assist and support less experienced operators as needed
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 5 years CNC machining (milling experience required)
- Experience with 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Must comply with ITAR/EAR regulations

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and work in a manufacturing environment for extended periods
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 lbs regularly
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail for precision machining work
- Must wear required PPE in a production environment
