Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Maintenance Planner to take the lead on organizing and optimizing maintenance operations in our fast-paced manufacturing facility. This role is essential for minimizing equipment downtime, improving asset reliability, and ensuring the smooth execution of both planned and unplanned maintenance activities. You’ll be responsible for creating maintenance plans, coordinating schedules, and collaborating with both the maintenance and production teams to support operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and manage daily, weekly, and long-term maintenance schedules for all plant equipment and systems
Utilize CMMS software to generate, assign, and close work orders
Review and interpret equipment history and performance metrics to improve uptime and efficiency
Ensure maintenance activities align with production timelines and minimize disruptions
Track inventory levels of parts and supplies; initiate reorders as needed
Work closely with technicians and vendors to coordinate repairs and service requests
Document procedures, repairs, and equipment-related updates
Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues and suggesting corrective actions
Monitor maintenance costs and assist in forecasting budgets
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Maintenance Management, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of maintenance planning experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
Proficient with CMMS platforms (e.g., SAP, Maximo, MP2)
Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies
Ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
Skilled in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for tracking KPIs and presenting maintenance performance
Excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving abilities
Familiarity with production systems and equipment such as compressors, motors, conveyors, and robotics is a plus
Certification in maintenance planning or reliability (e.g., CMRP) is a bonus
