Senior Structural Design Engineer

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Design Engineer to support advanced aircraft structural design, modifications, and manufacturing engineering. This role is ideal for an engineering professional with extensive aerospace experience who enjoys solving complex design challenges and leading technical projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop structural design solutions and resolve manufacturing/build issues.
• Create engineering changes, rework instructions, and modification packages.
• Support aircraft structural and systems installations.
• Investigate engineering non-conformances and collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams.
• Lead technical projects and mentor engineering team members.
• Support flight test modifications and special mission aircraft programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related Engineering field.
• 10+ years of aerospace structural design experience.
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR requirement).
• Experience supporting aircraft modifications and manufacturing.
• Previous engineering leadership experience.
• Advanced proficiency with CATIA V5 required; Siemens NX and Teamcenter experience are a plus.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $96,000–$113,000 annually
